Our learning agreement

Cycling With Anne agrees to:

(Prior to the session)

  • Gather information from you to ensure that the instruction is pitched at a suitable level.
  • Communicate with you clearly and ahead of the session about the details of the training including start and end times, what to bring and what will be covered.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are in place to ensure that the session goes well and to tackle any issues that arise promptly.
  • Contact you as soon as possible and at least an hour before the session starts if we are unable to run the session due to bad weather.

(At the session)

  • Arrive early at the session
  • Communicate courteously and positively and work to make the session enjoyable.
  • Make you feel welcomed and supported in your learning
  • Ensure the relevant points from the risk assessment has been shared with you
  • Promote a supportive learning environment that takes account of learning differences and challenge any unacceptable behaviour
  • Start the session promptly and finish by the time set.
  • Respond to any feedback that you have about the session or any concerns in a constructive way.
  • Respond to any safeguarding concerns in line with our safeguarding policies.
You (and your fellow learners if signing up as a group) agree to

(Prior to the session)

  • Read our Frequently Asked Questions on the website or request a copy of these to read before the session.
  • Provide any information requested to help us support your learning.
  • Check your bike, if you are bringing one, is suitable to ride – or seek help from us about this.
  • Inform us as soon as possible if you are not able to attend the session and only cancel with good reason.

(At the session)

  • Wear something that is suitable for your learning and that you feel comfortable in – e.g. warm clothes in cold weather and waterproof clothing where appropriate, clothes that help protect from sun in hotter weather. 
  • Listen to the instructions and follow these.
  • Speak to the instructor if you are not sure about something or if something does not feel quite right.
  • Stay with the instructor and where you are supposed to be and not leave without telling us.
  • Take care of the premises and any equipment you are using as though they are your own.
  • Respect any differences in learning styles and support and respect any fellow learners.
  • Respect the instructors and everyone involved in delivering the session.
  • Feed back on the session if you wish to – either immediately afterwards or via email, phone at a later date or via a Cycling With Anne questionnaire.
